EXTRA TV- "Chicago Fire" Behind the Scenes

It has been awhile since I last updated this.  I hope I can change this bad habit and start making more frequent updates!

Just wanted to post a little project I shot for Bunyap Productions and MSNBC's EXTRA TV.

I was offered this gig back in October and I got to spend the day filming BTS and interviews with cast of the TV show "Chicago Fire".  It was a pretty big shooting day for the "Chicago Fire" crew, being very effects heavy due to a catastrophic helicopter crash for the specific episode.

I was part of a small crew consisting of two producers, an audio tech and myself.  We worked with EXTRA's host, AJ Calloway.  We took a tour around the huge abandoned warehouse as well as taking time for interviewing cast and crew members.

Check it out!

Super Jam 2014

IMG_7233.jpg

Well... This is officially the first ever blog post I have done in my life.  Hopefully it wont be the last.

In this blog I will be posting my experience on shoots/jobs that  have been working and just updating ya'll on my life I guess.

This past weekend I got invited to be a camera operator for Super Jam 2014 in St. Louis.  This was my third time coming aboard with this awesome group of people to shoot this hip-hop event.

The show was covered by a pretty large range of different cameras (Sony Ex3, DSLR's and Black Magic Cinema Camera).

We had the DSLR shooters getting shots in the pit of all the artists and fans, along with b-roll of all the sponsors of Super Jam.  The BMCC was being used for our interviews at the step and repeat.  The Sony EX3 was being used for the static wide shot of stage.

The event went very smoothly, no major problems popped up which is always great.

(I was super psyched to see Juicy J and Mystikal  :D )

Stay tuned for my next blog post!
